It was constructed between 1850 and 1854 by the famous architect Theophil Von Hansen. The house is called Russian villa, because it was commissioned by the daughter of a Russian prince. A lot of famous people stayed at the villa for example the brother of Franz Josef I., Anton Rubinstein and Adalbert Stifter. Today it is a private house.
