Almtalbahn railway of the [ÖBB](http://www.oebb.at) Line Nr. 153 from Wels to Grünau im Almtal In Wels, the Almtalbahn railway has connections to the ÖBB IC trains and the WESTBAHN trains in the direction of Attnang-Puchheim / Salzburg or in the direction of Linz / Vienna. There are also direct connections to Linz. The Almtalbahn is a branch line that leads through beautiful scenery with stops in the Almtal communities of Pettenbach, Scharnstein and Grünau in the Almtal. Therefore, this railway is the ideal means of transportation to get to the Almtal and e.g. a hike on the Almuferweg to enjoy the alpine river, or a trip to the Almsee or Cumberland game park.
