Because according to alpine tradition you can address people you meet higher up with "you"! So that you don't overlook this 1000 m mark (and mistakenly literally stay there), we have set a monument - the world's only DU-STEIN on the Farrenau mountain road. Via the Farrenau mountain road to the Kasberg - area for hikers and summiteers You drive about 3 km from Grünau in the direction of Schindlbach to the mountain road ascent. The gradient (approx. 12%) leads over pastureland, through high forest, larch meadows and beech valleys, with valley and distant views, until you arrive at the Hochberg car park after 6 km and 12 switchbacks. The Hochberghaus mountain inn awaits you here at 1200 m above sea level - a base for hikers, mountaineers and those seeking relaxation, as well as the starting point for beautiful hikes to the Kasberg, the Sepp-Huber-Hütte and others. Fee: Please pay the toll before the return journey at the Hochberghaus or at the coin operated machine on the return journey.
