Reading is key to education. Reading arouses imagination and curiosity. Reading encourages you to think further and empathize with others. It is all the more worrying that more and more people consider reading to be a “waste of time” and prefer to spend their free time in front of the television and computer instead of a good book. We, as the public library in Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting, want to counteract this trend. - Increase the attractiveness of reading as a leisure activity through appropriate public relations work and events. - Make a sensible selection of books and media and thus offer an interesting offer. - Inexpensive access to extensive information and literature at close range for everyone. - Promotion of children's reading skills through joint projects with kindergartens and schools. We see ourselves as a service point for the community, without commercial interest and with the public library we would also like to offer a place for different classes, generations and cultures to meet.
