The new seasonal exhibition of the K-Hof-Museum opens up a paradise on the doorstep that is also accessible to amateur snorkelers: the local alpine streams, rivers and lakes.

At the exhibition in the K-Hof-Museums, Hois and Kapfer show the fabulous "Unterwasserreich Salzkammergut" with 40 large-format photos (120 x 70 cm) and a film presentation of their recent re-exploration. A life-size diver, underwater photo equipment and a Traunsee model give insights into the profession. In addition, fish preparations from Ohlsdorfer animal preparator Ernst Hofinger and pottery finds from the lake can be seen, which the biologist and former high school director dr. Karl Schirl recently bequeathed to the museum.

Harald Hois from Gramastetten and Gerald Kapfer from Steyr, both divers, diving instructors and renowned underwater photographers with 30 years of experience, know the most popular Hot Spots on the planet. Kapfer has counted 12,000 dives behind and spent more than a year underwater. Harald Hois recently felt the red salmon migration in Canada after Gerald Kapfer the orcas of Kamchatka. Their common and greatest passion, however, is to discover with wide-angle and macro hidden paradises, which are here on our doorstep. For 15 years they have been exploring underwater realms such as those of the Salzkammergut waters. They sometimes take several-hour increases with 40 kg of baggage from photo and diving equipment in order to then find sensational motifs in mountain streams.

Opening hours:
from Tuesday till Sunday from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.
