The duo enjoyed great success in public performances with this unusual combination, such as at the World Harmonica Festival in Trossingen, at the Schumann House, St. Nicholas Church, and St. Peter’s Church in Leipzig, as well as at the Salzburg Orchesterhaus, the Brucknerhaus in Linz, and at various festivals in the Salzkammergut. **The first piece composed specifically for the duo is by Anton Steinkogler from Ebensee and will be performed in concert alongside works by M. Ravel, F. Couperin, and G. Gershwin. Another highlight will be an improvisation based on a painting from the studio.** Maria Wolfsberger was born in Roitham and is known in Leipzig as the “Nun with the Harmonica.” She belongs to the Order of the Missionaries of Christ and studied church music in Leipzig. She has also made a name for herself as an organist. Siegfried Steinkogler is known far beyond the Salzkammergut as a concert guitarist, composer, and jury member. Recently, his concert performances have frequently taken place in Vienna, including collaborations with the renowned soprano Josipa Bainac. The concert in Gmunden promises to be a highlight.
