Almtalerhaus 760 m: ÖAV-Hütte in the Hetzau in the "Bergsteigerdorf" village Grünau im Almtal!Wonderfully located base for: hikers, mountaineers, recreation seekers. The hut can be reached by car or bicycle, simply and comfortably equipped. 20 minutes walk to the "Ödseen" lakes. The lakes are nature reserve area. Please pay attention to nature and its inhabitants! **Open from 01. May to 14. September.** From Grünau in the Almtal in the direction of Almsee, at GH Jagersimmerl turn left into Hetzau. Call the taxi centre at least 1 hour in advance on 050-422 422 or order on the otaxi app. **By bike:** Follow the **R11 Almtal cycle path** or the **Traunviertel Tour** from Grünau in the direction of Almsee to the Hetzau junction (near Jagersimmerl Hotelbetrieb), then turn left and follow the road to the Almtalerhaus. **By car:** Motorway A1 Westautobahn Vienna <> Salzburg Exit 207 Exit Vorchdorf at the roundabout - direction Pettenbach, approx. 12 km Motorway A9 Pyhrnautobahn Passau <> Graz Exit 5 exit Ried im Traunkreis - direction Voitsdorf - Pettenbach, approx. 10 km on the B 120 to Scharnstein, there turn onto the main road to Grünau im Almtal and follow the road to Grünau im Almtal. Take advantage of the bus and Salzkammergut shuttle service from Grünau im Almtal railway station. Drive from Grünau im Almtal in the direction of Almsee, turn left into Hetzau at GH Jagersimmerl. **Please only park in the designated car parks and do not block any entrances to forest roads, as forestry work and timber transport are taking place here!
