Many leisure time facilities, well marked hiking trails, like the path along Alm river “Genuss am Almfluss” with the activity-rest area, including a low rope course, a horseback-riding trail that runs along the Almtal, many equestrian facilities and riding and driving shows, a glider airfield and much more makes it easy to plan your stay.

Culinary delights, whether it’s “Kesselhoaße” (hot, fresh simmered sausages) or Zwieballn (a specially shaped and spiced bun), sweet Almtaler (chocolate covered cookies) or special venison dishes, they can all be found on the menu of the gastronomy in Scharnstein.
