Experience the more than 400-year history of scythe production in Scharnstein up close as part of a guided tour of the Geyerhammer scythe museum (www.sensenmuseum.at), look over the shoulder of a former scythe smith at work and take a guided walk along the scythe trail (barrier-free access). This trail leads through the former Redtenbacher factory premises, past the scythe magazine, workers' houses, the "Burschenhaus" and many other stations. You will receive explanations about all the stations and gain an impression of how the scythe industry characterised life in Scharnstein.

Meeting point for the guided tour: In front of the "HAMMER!" performance venue, 2.5 hours BEFORE the performance begins (5.30 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, at 2.30 pm on Sunday)
Between the guided tour and the performance of "HAMMER!" there will be time for refreshments.

If you are travelling on a Thursday, we invite you to join the Traunsee-Almtal Tourist Office for a free WALDNESS taster session, conducted by WALDNESS guides (registration required at the Tourist Office in Grünau im Almtal, Tel. +43 7216 8268).

Enjoy the evening on the terrace of the Hochberghaus with a hearty "Pfandl" dish and a marvellous sunset.
