At Baumgartner, comfort meets hospitality. We know that taste has a tradition.
The traditional handicraft has a high priority in our company. Our recipes have been passed on in the family for generations, so we can do without ready-made baking mixes entirely. Thanks to the regionality of our ingredients, we not only contribute to a better environment, but we also know exactly where our ingredients come from. When it comes to rye and spelled, our philosophy goes even further. Everything from a single source to the finished product is the motto here. The grain is grown on their own fields, ground themselves and then baked in the bakery.
The well-known "Baumi taste" is no coincidence. It is the recipes that are passed on from generation to generation, the ancient grain, which we never lose sight of from sowing to the finished pastry, and the sourdough from the old wooden barrel, which give our bread and pastries their unmistakable, down-to-earth taste. None of these are marketing strategies from us, but purely matters of the heart.
The tradition in the bakery is very important to us. It goes without saying that we bake the right specialties for you for every season, which are known far beyond the regional borders. Our famous fruit bread is particularly popular at Christmas time. The beugerl during Lent is just as important as the Christmas bread at Easter.
For this reason, in addition to our baked goods, you will find many other products from the region in our shop - from fresh farm milk in bottles, free-range eggs to delicacies from the Maître Chocolatier Wenschitz.
Since the renovation in 2019, the old shop has been transformed into a modern sales area. The new adjoining café in a stylish ambience impresses with its urban flair and traditional accents. There is space for up to 45 connoisseurs in this oasis of wellbeing. When the weather is nice, we open our garden with 30 seats.
