Lakefestival "MÄRCHENNACHT"

The unique backdrop is enchanting, almost like a fairy tale;

Lake Festival Fairytale Night - on Saturday, August 1, 2026, a real summer fairytale night will be celebrated in the idyllic Traunsee village of Traunkirchen. Magnificent buildings, fairytale shore lighting, mountain fires on the Traunstein and Kleiner Schönberg, several fireworks, summit lighting on the Sonnstein as well as entertainment and dancing make this evening unforgettable.

18:00: Salute from the Prangerschützen marksmen
The Prangerschützen of the Neukirchen shooting club open the fairytale night.

From 18:00: Attractions for children
In front of the Klosterstube: Bouncy castle, face painting, GONIS craft station and more.

18:30: Concert by the Reindlmühl music association
In the Riedlpark / festival grounds.

19:30: Show rowing of the Traunseeplätten
In keeping with tradition, around 15 boats row from Winkelbucht to the festival grounds.

20:00: Dixieland sound with the "Dixie Urtypen" from Ebensee
in the Riedlpark.

20:30: Departure of the music boats MS Liberty and MS St. Nikolaus
In Riedlpark; musical accompaniment by the "Dixie Urtypen".

21:00: Dance & entertainment with "REMIX"
In the Riedlpark.

From 21:00: Fairytale lakeside and house illuminations
Lovingly illuminated houses in the Winkelbucht, illumination of the Sonnstein silhouette, fireworks in the Winkelbucht.

22:00: Main fireworks display in front of the festival grounds
Shot off at the lake.

From 22:00: Open air party
Best entertainment in Riedlpark until the early hours.

Presenter: Radio Upper Austria presenter Katrin Wachauer will host the evening.

Shuttle service: from/to the festival grounds

A shuttle service will take you from the depot of the volunteer fire department to the town center from 6 pm to 1 am. You can park along the former B 145 free of charge until 2 am.
