Combine your life in a wheelchair with experiences in the Traunsee-Almtal Region

Hiking, outdoor destinations, restaurants and much more. These experiences are not self-evident for wheelchair users, as they must include certain things. For this reason, a search on the internet for accessible experiences is often unsuccessful. To support wheelchair users in their search, the Traunsee-Almtal Tourism Association has created this page.

Our barrier-free offers

Our infrastructure offers many offers that you can book directly with us. From archery under the Stoa to the regional roast train, here you can find out which barrier-free offers our region has to offer, which you can book directly on our homepage.

Attractions and Highlights for wheelchair users

Of course, our region also offers barrier-free attractions. From archery "under the Stoa", to a husky experience day in Ebensee on Lake Traunsee, to the tree top walk on Grünberg. Our region offers a variety of experiences, also for wheelchair users.

barrier-free accommodation

Of course, our region also offers a wide range of accessible accommodation. From suites to holiday flats, wheelchair users have several options for a pleasant stay in the Traunsee-Almtal region.

Wheelchair friendly restaurants and cafes

The restaurateurs in our region attach great importance to regional products, which they naturally also want to share with wheelchair users. Get to know a wide variety of regional and culinary experiences, from Traunsee fish to organic Almtal pasture-raised pork.

Hiking and walking in a wheelchair

Our region offers wheelchair users, among other things, one or two hiking tours. From the hike to the Hochsteinalm to the hike to the Laudachsee at the Grünberg.  Of course, our mountain/lake regions also offer many breathtaking walking opportunities, including for wheelchair users. Walking not only increases your well-being, but also reduces the risk of diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Walking also makes you fit and reduces stress.
