On the Esplanade, you can stroll along the lake on balmy summer evenings, or set off on real adventures. Two beach volleyball and tennis courts await ‘ball enthusiasts’. For water sports enthusiasts, there are opportunities for diving, water skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, kayaking, canoeing or stand-up paddleboarding – simply fun and action for young and old alike. Those who want to take a break or simply unwind can enjoy the Esplanade as a recreational area for a swim in the lake or simply to relax. For children, there’s a large playground with everything their hearts desire. In the nearby Fischerbucht, with its boat landing stage, traditional Stanglfisch and other delicacies from Lake Traunsee are served. The bar ‘Die Strandung’ brings a taste of the Caribbean to Altmünster – here you can experience exotic nightlife amidst a sandy beach, palm trees and sizzling rhythms, whilst enjoying refreshing cocktails.
