Almsee parking lot - chargeable

Grünau im Almtal, Oberösterreich, Österreich

Ideal starting point for hikes - The car park is chargeable

The car park at the Almsee lake in the mountaineering village of Grünau im Almtal is particularly suitable for hikes along the Almsee lake, along the Almuferweg "Genuss am Almfluss" trail or a mountain tour through the Tote Gebirge mountains!

A visit to the Gasthof Seehaus is also worthwhile - let yourself be enchanted by the marvellous delicacies from the Almtal.

Please note that a large part of the car park is privately owned.

From now on the digital, barrier-free parking management system from Peter Park System GmbH will be used in the two car parks at Almsee in Grünau im Almtal.

Problem-free and organised parking: In future, the two car parks at Almsee will provide parkers with user-friendly pay stations with simple menu navigation, where payment can be made by cash or card as well as with Apple and Google Pay. Payment is also possible online and via the car park app. There are no barriers or parking tickets; the solution automatically calculates the parking time based on data protection-compliant licence plate scans at the entrance and exit. Payment is made by entering the licence plate number at the end of the stay. As no barriers are used, there is no need to stop at the entrance and exit, which prevents tailbacks and unnecessary CO2 emissions. By dispensing with paper or magnetic strip tickets, waste is saved. The car parks will therefore remain seamlessly accessible in the future.

Barrier-free parking - how it works and interesting facts for car park users: When entering and leaving the car park, a scanner reads the vehicle's licence plate number and the parking time is determined automatically. Payment is made by entering the licence plate number at the end of the stay. The pay stations offer a wide range of payment options with cash and card as well as Apple and Google Pay (NFC). Alternatively, payment can be made online and via the Easypark car park app. The amount to be paid is limited to the actual parking time. The new signage is another reminder not to forget to pay. Once the payment process has been completed, the vehicle can leave the car park seamlessly and without stopping.

The parking fee for one car is EUR 5 per day.
For climbers who park for several days, the fee is EUR 15 for a maximum of 7 days. Camping is prohibited!

Day tickets for buses 20€

At the car park there is also a public toilet and an information tree with interesting brochures about the Traunsee-Almtal region, which are available to take free of charge, as well as an ÖAMTC bike service point.

For visitors with restricted mobility, i.e. holders of a §29 Stvo parking permit, 4 parking spaces are available on the right in front of the entrance, availability depends on the number of visitors.
