The railway station Vorchdorf is a special railway station. Here, the two lines "Traunseetram" (Small track, Line 161) from Gmunden and the "Vorchdorferbahn" (normal track, Line 160) from Lambach via Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting come together.
Ideal starting point for excursions to the Almtal valley and/or to the lake Traunsee area.
Grand opening on the 02nd September 2018 of the new Traunseetram, which connects the two railways Traunseebahn and the tram of Gmunden! Thus, you have direct connection to the main train station of Gmunden to the Salzkammergutbahn railway runned by tge ÖBB (line 170) in the direction to Stainach-Irdning with the highlights Bad Ischl, Hallstatt and Bad Aussee or in the direction of Attnang-Puchheim to the interchanges to the main railway track in the direction to Salzburg / Munich or Wels / Linz / Vienna.
