Ebensee boat landing stage - for unique experiences on Lake Traunsee.

Traunsee shipping offers unique natural and cultural experiences on the water, fulfilling longings and dreams: and has been doing so since 1839! In that year, two courageous Englishmen (they brought the technology of the steam engine to Lake Traunsee) - John Andrews and Joseph John Ruston - founded the first commercial shipping line on an inland lake in Austria! Since 1977, this traditional company has been owned by the Eder family, the largest private shipping company in Austria.

In addition to the regular scheduled services from the end of May to the beginning of October (6 landing stages around the lake), which depart from Gmunden and call at all the lakeside towns on Lake Traun, Traunseeschifffahrt also offers a wide range of special trips on its 6 passenger ships (including the historic paddle steamer "GISELA"/built in 1871). The wide range includes "Jazz on the lake", candlelight dinners, Father's Day and Mother's Day trips, charter trips for company outings, groups or wedding parties, Advent and winter cruises as well as a New Year's Eve trip.

When guests board the boat in Ebensee, they will find a public toilet near the landing stage (open all year round, use € 0.50), a certain number of paid parking spaces (not possible at major events such as Kirtag ...) and 2 parking spaces for buses (distance from the bus parking lot to the landing stage around 100 m).

As the landing stage is owned by the market town of Ebensee, the shipping company Loidl from Traunkirchen is also allowed to dock for special trips.
The Ebensee landing stage is also the boarding and disembarking point for the TRAUNSEE WASSERTAXI, also operated by Loidl Schifffahrt.
