A museum about the salt-transfer-center Stadl-Paura.

In 1979 the Stadl-Paura boatmen's association converted the house where Abbot Maximilian Pagl (* 1668), builder of the Holy Trinity Church, was born into the ship's museum. After relocating the exhibition to the for the Upper Austria. State exhibition 2016 after 100 years of newly built Salzstadln on a historic site, the museum was reopened in 2018 after renovation and complete overhaul.

There you will find a lot about the Stadl-Paura salt transshipment point, with a focus on salt shipping, shipbuilding, counter trains and rafting on or along the Traun, but also basic information about salt production in the Salzkammergut. Of course you can also learn a lot about the boatmen's guild and the barren life of the boatmen - and what the parade oars are all about.
