Corn maze - welcome to the imperial view 2024

The Wirt in der Edt in Vorchdorf im Almtal offers an additional attraction for all visitors in summer!

In the cornfield adjacent to the inn is a maze of a special kind. With a diameter of up to 90 metres, the natural maze is designed to attract visitors to the inn and other interested parties.

All clear? Then the team at Wirt in der Edt wishes you lots of fun! Closed in bad weather - labyrinth traffic light on homepage! red: closed, yellow: only accessible with second shoes, green: fully accessible

At the Vorchdorf country inn "Wirt in der Edt" there is an oversized imperial eagle. This summer, the innkeepers are inviting guests on a day trip to the maize maze with the theme "Kaiserblick". The entrance to the maize field is a straight line pointing towards Bad Ischl. And the maize field is the northernmost point in the Capital of Culture region. In summer 2024, everything at the inn will also revolve around the "Imperial Summer" theme.

A magnificent Alpine foothills panorama, good home-style cooking, a cosy and shady guest garden and a children's playground where even the emperor would have felt at home. Guests find and appreciate all of this at the Wirt in der Edt in Vorchdorf. So it's just right that the traditional Vorchdorf innkeeper has become the "Kaiserblick-Wirt" (Emperor's View Inn) for the Capital of Culture year Bad Ischl 2024 and is emphasising this claim with an oversized corn maze. "All our guests feel like an emperor here and this year in particular we want to draw attention to the fact that Bad Ischl is not only the cultural capital but also an imperial city," says Erwin Radner, explaining his maize maze 2024 idea.

Over the past 5 years, he has already used spectacular motifs (Strizzi, Grisu, Mayas, Upper Austrian map, ProjeQt) to turn the adjacent field into an attractive day trip destination during the holidays.

View towards Bad Ischl Wirt in der Edt is the northernmost inn in the Capital of Culture Region 2024. The double eagle is enthroned on the field on the district border with Wels-Land and faces directly towards Bad Ischl. Visitors of all ages can discover a total of 7 stamp stations over an area of 6 hectares. There are attractive prizes from the Capital of Culture region to be won.

The Grünberg is also located on the "virtual axis" between the Vorchdorfer Kaiserblick and Bad Ischl and has its own station. An imperial summer at the inn in Edt The hosts Elke and Erwin Radner adapt their summer specialities to this theme. After a visit to the Kaiserblick labyrinth, guests can enjoy imperial delicacies in the shady vine arbour garden. To quench their thirst, fresh imperial spritzers are served with the Eggenberger Capital of Culture beer. And as a special highlight, a schnitzel from the imperial cut will be served. All visitors can take part in the competition and win attractive prizes. "Everyone is an emperor here," says the Vorchdorf landlord, as all young visitors receive an imperial crown as a souvenir. With this in mind: off to the corn maze and discover the stations.
