Climb aboard and be enchanted! The fairytale train on the Traunseetram takes you on a fantastic journey full of adventure and magic. The fairytale train on the Traunseetram takes children aged 3 to 10 on a magical ride through the heart of Gmunden. After receiving headphones at Engelhof station, the journey begins into a world full of exciting fairytale stories and tricky puzzles. Listen to the stories, be enchanted and enjoy an unforgettable streetcar ride!

The stories are told by regional children's book author and storyteller Martin Windischbauer - a real experience for little fairytale fans! As a special highlight, each child receives a small gift as a souvenir.

Meeting point:

How to get to the fairytale train on the Traunseetram to Gmunden Engelhof in the Traunsee-Almtal region:

We recommend traveling by public transport!

By train: via Attnang-Puchheim station on the Salzkammergutbahn (line 170) to Gmunden station. Numerous connections from Attnang-Puchheim station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) or via Gmunden to the Salzkammergutbahn in the direction of Bad Ischl, Hallstatt and Bad Aussee.

Continue with the Traunseetram (line 161) to the Gmunden Engelhof stop or from Vorchdorf to the Gmunden Engelhof stop.

by bus: OÖVV bus lines 533 and Citybus lines from Gmunden, bus stop Gmunden Bahnhof Engelhof

by bike: Gmunden Engelhof station is also very easy to reach by bike.
The Traunvierteltour passes very close to Gmunden Engelhof station, in Gmunden you have access to the cycle connections on the R4 Traunradweg and R 2 Salzkammergutradweg. There is also a good cycle connection from Vorchdorf via Gschwandt.
