Guided Tours & Guided Tour and Workshop on "Romanesque Frescoes"

The museum at the Benedictine Abbey of Lambach offers a concise overview of the abbey’s long history and its unique Romanesque frescoes. Visitors are invited to view the frescoes and get creative themselves in a workshop. Guided tours explore the abbey’s state rooms.

ABBEY TOURS (AT 6:00 P.M. AND 10:00 P.M.)

Selected exhibits as well as Baroque state rooms—such as the Baroque theater, the abbey church, and the abbey library—offer fascinating insights. Duration: 1.5 hours.

GUIDED TOUR AND WORKSHOP “ROMANESQUE FRESCOES” (AT 8:00 PM)

The heart of the building offers far more than just a historic atmosphere; it invites you to creatively discover the world of fresco painting. Duration: 1–1.5 hours.

Your ticket serves as admission to all participating venues and as a pass for the shuttle buses.

Sales Locations

Purchase your tickets in advance through September 27, 2026, atbackstage.ORF.at or at participating museums and cultural institutions. On the day of the event, tickets will also be available at the “Treffpunkt Museum,” which will be set up in your state capital (in Dornbirn, Vorarlberg) as well as in Krems.
