When four musicians have shared the stage for twenty years, they know what an evening needs: authenticity, a good arc—and the courage to insist on lightheartedness even in difficult times. “La vita è bella!” is the name of the Schurken’s new program: Purcell meets Piazzolla, film music meets Shostakovich. Down with gravity—long live lightheartedness!
