Gmunden Safety Day 2026

Safety Awareness Day starting at 12 p.m. at Town Hall Square

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Rathausplatz and Schubertplatz in Gmunden will be transformed into a large interactive event centered on the theme of safety. Under the motto “Together for a Safe Gmunden,” visitors can look forward to a diverse safety festival for the whole family.

Local clubs, businesses, and numerous safety organizations will join forces to present an exciting and informative day in the heart of the city. The goal of the event is to bring safety to life, provide insights into the daily work of emergency response organizations, and at the same time strengthen community cohesion in the region.

Among those participating are local emergency response organizations, which will showcase their capabilities through impressive live demonstrations, modern emergency vehicles, and hands-on exhibits. Sports clubs specializing in self-defense will also be presenting themselves.

Visitors will have the opportunity to speak directly with emergency responders and learn more about prevention, safety, and volunteer work. The ÖAMTC spin simulator, the Flying Fox at City Hall, and the christening ceremonies for the new police and fire department boats offer a taste of the colorful supporting program.

A varied children’s program is also on offer for the youngest guests. Games, fun, and interactive stations ensure that the Safety Festival will be a special experience for the whole family.

In addition to information and advice, the event focuses above all on community, regional identity, and coming together.

Safety Day 2026 impressively demonstrates how diverse and dedicated the people and organizations in Gmunden are in working together for the safety of the community.
