It’s hard to believe that back in 1901, a handful of men in Vorchdorf came together for the first time to sing in four-part harmony, and under the name “Sängerbund Frohsinn,” set in motion a development that, with a men’s choir of over 50 singers, became a fixture in Vorchdorf’s community life.

To mark its 125th anniversary, the Vorchdorf Regional Museum invites you on a musical journey through the history of men’s choral singing in Vorchdorf.

From its beginnings in 1901 to the present day: The new special exhibition traces the development of men’s choral singing in Vorchdorf, highlighting special moments and the people who have shaped this history with their voices.
