This mountain road ascends six kilometres to a family hiking area, located at a height of 1.200 m.
Drive about 3 km from Grünau in the direction of Schindlbach to the Bergstraßen entrance. The gradient (approx. 12%) leads over pastureland, through high forest, larch meadows and beech valleys, with valley and distant views, until you arrive at the Hochberg car park after 6 km and 12 switchbacks.

The road toll is € 12.00 per car and this is to be paid with precisely counted coins at the barrier at the exit. Changing money is possible at the tourist office (during opening hours).
