About history:
In October 1967, the 20-meter high illuminated metal cross on the initiative of the Kameradschaftsbundes of the district Kirchdorf a.d. Krems built as a thank you for the return of many WWII soldiers.
Illuminated it is far into the O.ö. Central space visible in it and represents a symbol of peace.
Starting from the branch church Heiligenleithen in Pettenbach, a short hike on the Friedenskreuzweg can be made up to the Friedenskreuz am Oberkaibling. A nice little Way of the Cross leads on the side street to the cross!
The Peace Cross on the Oberkaibling in Pettenbach is usually Saturday, Sunday and public holiday illuminated from dusk to about 21: 00/21: 30 clock. In addition, it shines in deaths of members of the Kameradschaftsbundes in the district Kirchdorf an der Krems in memory.
