The gastronomy in the Cumberland Wildpark Grünau presents itself since 2015 in a new "garb" and has moved to the new visitor center!
From now on 65 seats in the new and rustic dining room and around 200 seats in the beautiful landscaped garden are available. The catering team of the self-service restaurant, under the direction of Wolfgang Rohrauer, is looking forward to pampering you!
At the end of a relaxing hike through the Cumberland Wildlife Park you will find home-cooked food, refreshing drinks, coffee and delicious pastries as usual. The visit of the Wildparkstüberls is only possible in connection with an entry into the Cumberland Wildpark!

Winter opening hours:
From 1 November, our winter opening hours will apply again at Grünau Wildlife Park!
As always in the winter months, our ‘Wildparkstüberl’ will be closed on weekdays from Monday to Friday from 4 November. But it will be open on ALL weekends, public holidays and during the Christmas and semester holidays.
Summer opening times:
April to October: daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

Accessibility / arrivalThe best way to reach the Cumberland Wildlife Park is by train and bus, or by taking the beautiful Almuferweg "Genuss am Almfluss".
By train: Nearest Intercity stop Wels Hbf (ÖBB and Westbahn), change to the regional trains in the direction of Grünau im Almtal "Almtalbahn" (ÖBB) By bus: Bus route 533/535 Gmunden - Grünau - Almsee, stop Almtal Naturtierpark Or simply leave your car in the car park at the train station in Grünau and use the bus or the hiking trail.
by Traunstein Taxi Route 60 from Grünau railway station to the Cumberland Wildpark stop, call the taxi centre at least 1 hour in advance on 050-422 1691 or order on the otaxi app.
by bike: Cycle route R11 Almtalradweg from Wels into the Almtal valley via Scharnstein and Grünau im Almtal to the Almsee lake
on foot: From the centre or Grünau im Almtal train station, you can take a leisurely hike along the Almuferweg "Genuss am Almfluss" to Cumberland Wildpark!
By car: Motorway A1 Westautobahn Vienna <> Salzburg Exit 207 Exit Vorchdorf at the roundabout - direction Pettenbach, approx. 12 km, motorway A9 Pyhrnautobahn Passau <> Graz Exit 5 Exit Ried im Traunkreis - direction Voitsdorf - Pettenbach, approx. 10 km on the B 120 to Scharnstein, where you turn off onto the main road to Grünau im Almtal and follow the road to Grünau im Almtal. Take advantage of the bus and Salzkammergut Shuttle service from Grünau im Almtal railway station.
You can also drive back to the wildlife park and park your car there.
