Driving system in Gmunden
Please note that the journey from the old town over the Traunbrücke in the direction of the Grünberg cable car is tolerated, but the journey from the Grünberg cable car to the old town is not.
Please adhere to the one-way system for buses, otherwise large penalties may apply.
Parking
Buses can stop in the center of Gmunden at the bus stop at Franz-Joseph-Platz to let passengers get on and off. The town hall square can be reached in about 2 minutes on foot.
The road to the Hochberghaus is a paid mountain road. Buses must register in the Hochberghaus on 07616 8477 - traffic is stopped because there are no alternatives.
Winter closure from October to May!
The journey to the two Ödseen in Grünau im Almtal is only permitted with minibuses.
A general driving ban applies at the following times:

01 November to 30 April WINTER CLOSED
