The basis and starting point for the content concept are the archaeological findings in and around Bad Wimsbach. These provide evidence of settlement in the region during the Bronze Age, the Hallstatt Period (early Iron Age), the Roman Empire and the Early Middle Ages. Of particular note are the finds from the Hallstatt period. In addition to weapons and jewelry from barrows, it is primarily the evidence of a Hallstatt period settlement and especially of iron extraction that gives the Bad Wimsbach site supra-regional importance. The evidence of iron extraction from the Hallstatt period is almost unique for Austria. And this meaning is also the starting point for the redesign of the former local history museum into the Tempus archeology museum.
