Gasthof Seehaus upon lake Almsee

Welcome to the Gasthof Seehaus.

The Seehaus was built in 1652 by Kremsmünster Abbey and is located in the middle of a fascinating natural landscape directly on the Almsee - surrounded by the imposing backdrop of the Dead Mountains. Austrian hospitality has been lived here by the Geishüttner family for over 40 years.

The restaurant

We offer you home-style cuisine with constantly updated seasonal dishes that are always freshly prepared for you. When it comes to food, we focus on Austrian dishes and only use carefully selected products from the region.

Joy, relaxation and culinary delights should be the focus for the Seehaus guest and these can be experienced in the lake veranda with a fantastic view of the Almsee or in the cozy guest room - in good weather also in the guest garden with a panoramic view of the majestic massif of the Dead Mountains.

DasSeehaus offers you an elegant and culinary ambience for your family or company celebration right on the Almsee. We are happy to help you with menu and buffet suggestions, which are tailored to your wishes and the current seasonal offer.

The romantic chapel in the house is very popular for baptisms and can accommodate up to 50 people.
