We are very pleased to welcome you here.
We strive to offer our guests a varied menu.
We’re expanding our menu with special themes such as “Fish and Seafood,” “Classic Pub Dishes,” “Fine Lamb Dishes,” “Asparagus Variations,” “Chanterelles,” “Pumpkin,” and “Game Delicacies,” we expand our menu offerings. We strive to source high-quality, fresh ingredients for our guests and prepare them with care.
Our wine list features wines from some of the most renowned winemakers in Austria, Italy, and Spain, all from the finest vineyards. Specialty beers from the Eggenberg Brewery, the “Bierschmiede” on Lake Attersee, “Salzburger Weisse,” and Belgian “Kriek” Lambic (cherry beer) from Lindemans offer a wide range of fine beers.
Fine brandies from Gölles, Wieser, and Jöbstl, grappa from Marzadro, and premium coffee from Nespresso round out our selection.

How to get to Gasthaus Hinterreitner in Vorchdorf in the Traunsee-Almtal region:
We recommend travelling by public transport!
By train: via Wels station to Lambach station, with the "Vorchdorferbahn" railway (line 160) or from Gmunden with the Traunsee tram (line 161) of Stern & Hafferl Bahnen to the Schloss Eggenberg stop. Numerous connections from Wels railway station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) or via Gmunden to the Salzkammergutbahn in the direction of Bad Ischl, Hallstatt and Bad Aussee.
by bus: OÖVV bus lines 481 from Kirchdorf to Vorchdorf or 501 from Wels to Vorchdorf, Eggenberg railway station
In each case approx. 5 - 7 minutes walk from the railway station or bus stop to the inn.
with the Salzkammergut Shuttle Service Route 70 from Scharnstein station via Pettenbach or Route 80 from the Almspitz or Hagenmühle to the Schloss Eggenberg brewery stop, call the taxi centre at least 1 hour in advance on 050-422 422 or order on the otaxi app.
Two minutes walk from the stop to the inn.
By bike: Gasthaus Hinterreitner is also easily accessible by bike. The R 13 Traunviertlerradweg is approx. 3 kilometres away.

After the roundabout at the Vorchdorf exit, head towards the town centre, but stay on the bypass and then turn left towards the brewery at the crossroads by the Schloss Eggenberg train stop. The inn is on the left after approx. 300 metres.
Coming from Gmunden on the L1306 Vorchdorfer Straße until shortly before Vorchdorf, turn right at the Schloss Eggenberg train stop in the direction of the brewery, after approx. 300 metres you will find the inn on the left-hand side.
Parking: Car park directly opposite the inn, limited space available. Please only use the designated parking spaces and show consideration for private property! Thank you for your fairness!
