Here's how to get to Piu-Ma Café & Bistro in Gmunden's Old Town, located in the Traunsee-Almtal region of the Salzkammergut:
We recommend traveling by public transportation!
By train:
Take the Salzkammergutbahn (Line 170) from Attnang-Puchheim Station to Gmunden Station; from Gmunden Station, take the Traunseetram (Line 161) from Stern & Hafferl to the Gmunden Rathausplatz stop; the same route applies if coming from Vorchdorf Eggenberg or Gmunden Engelhof (Park & Ride). From the stop, it’s just a few steps up Kirchengasse to reach us.
Numerous connections are available from Attnang-Puchheim Station to the mainline trains on the Westbahn line (Line 101) or via Gmunden to the Salzkammergut Railway toward Bad Ischl, Hallstatt, and Bad Aussee
By bus:
OÖVV bus lines 507, 505, or 533, as well as Citybus lines from Gmunden, getting off at the Gmunden Rathausplatz stop. Again, it’s just a few steps up Kirchengasse to reach us.
By bike:
The Piu-Ma Café & Bistro is also very easy to reach by bike. The Traunviertel Tour, as well as the R4 Traun Cycle Path and R2 Salzkammergut Cycle Path, pass by Rathausplatz and the Traun Bridge, respectively, about 250 meters away.
Signs from the Gmunden bike hub will guide you to the pedestrian zone, where biking is permitted. Please be considerate of others and watch out for the tram tracks at Rathausplatz.
By car:
A1 West Highway: From Munich/Salzburg or Vienna/Linz—take the A1 Regau exit—follow the B145 to Gmunden; likewise, coming from Bad Ischl on the B145—head directly to the city center
Parking in the city center:
Underground parking garage about 250 meters away; numerous parking spaces in the city center (short-term parking zone during the day).
Please use only the designated parking spaces and be considerate of private property!
Thank you for your cooperation!
