Ebensee is an Austrian market town in the Gmunden district in the Traunviertel region, also known as the Salzkammergut, in Upper Austria. It has a population of 7,419 (as of August 21, 2025). The municipality is located in the Bad Ischl judicial district. Ebensee is located at 443 meters above sea level on the southern shore of Lake Traunsee.
The municipal office is the seat of the municipal administration. This includes departments such as the Citizens' Service Center, the Registration Office, the Tourist Office, the Lost and Found Office, the Registry Office, the Public Parish and Community Library, the Building Department, the Parking Management and Infrastructure Company, the Mayor's Office, the Administrative Office, and much more. The mayor also has her office here, and the municipal council meets in the wedding hall.

Please note that parking spaces around the municipal office and the town hall park are subject to a fee daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. You can purchase an hourly parking ticket from the ticket machine provided; a day ticket is available for parking for six hours or more.
