The Stadling boatmen were organised in a boatmen's guild.
The year of foundation is not known, but there is evidence of it since 1617.
Valuable objects from the time of the boatmen's guild are still kept in the museum, such as the guild flag from 1800, the guild chest from 1754, the pall (1796) and several parade oars (these were carried by the boatmen when important visitors came to Lambach Abbey and they stood on the parade ground).
