The Association for Drinking Water Supply in Cambodia was founded in 2009 on the initiative of Fritz Kieninger and Savuth Kao. We rolled up our sleeves and got stuck in ourselves, together with our families, during the on-site construction work, and we organise fundraising campaigns to finance the individual projects, which have already been supported by staff at Miba Laakirchen, Gmundner Keramik and the company Largo (Plasser-Franz). The joy in the villages and the surrounding settlements is always indescribably great whenever a well is opened. We have also already been able to purchase the basic equipment for an open-air school, where six classes of 30 children each are taught. The local representatives responsible for ensuring the fair distribution and use of funds are Savuth’s cousin and the local mayor.
