Kirchham is embedded in the Alpine foothills, right at the entrance to lovely Salzkammergut region.


Kirchham - at the elevation of 430 m up to 806 m (Haberg area) above sea level - covers a total area of 28 km². Both "Laudach Rivers" are flowing through the wonderful little town. The "outer Laudach river" has its source in the Traunstein area, next to Laudachsee lake.

A marvelous hiking area with an infinite number of shady trails stretches all over the region. Among the most beautiful spots are Hochkogl peak, Himmelreich area, Feichtenberg mountain, Bäckerberg peak and Haberg mountain.

The outstanding Traunsee Kirchham 18-hole golf course (5714 meters long, Par 70) is surrounded by gently rolling hills and green forests - a highlight not to be missed! Challenging games await you, fun and action are guaranteed.

How to get to Kirchham in the Traunsee-Almtal region!

We recommend travelling by public transport or by bike!

by train:

Kirchham is located directly on the Traunseetram of Stern & Hafferl from Gmunden to Vorchdorf.
Connection in Gmunden to the Salzkammergut railway to Attnang-Puchheim (Intercity stop) or to Bad Ischl, Hallstatt and Bad Aussee.
Connection in Vorchdorf to the ‘Vorchdorfer Bahn’ (line 160) from Stern & Hafferl to Lambach station. Change to the western railway line to Wels (Intercity stop).
Further stops in the local area: Kirchham, Kirchham Ort, Kirchham Sportplatz, Laizing, Eisengattern

by bike:
Coming from Wels or Linz on the R 4 Traunradweg or R 6 Römerradweg, or from Passau via Vöcklabruck and Schwanenstadt on the R 6 Römerradweg to Lambach, via the Traunkraftwerk Lambach power station and then to Vorchdorf.
From Vorchdorf along the Traunseetram to Kirchham
Connection to the R 13 Traunviertlerradweg coming from Laakirchen or Vorchdorf in Kirchham.
Coming from Scharnstein on the Traunvierteltour via St. Konrad to Gschwandt, then on to Kirchham. Connection to the R 11 Almtal cycle path from Almsee in Scharnstein.
From Gmunden along the Traunseetram to Kirchham.

By car:
Motorway A1 Westautobahn Exit 207 exit Vorchdorf at the roundabout - follow the main road in the direction of Gmunden to Gschwandt.
Coming from Gmunden or from Scharnstein on the B120 (Gmunden eastern bypass) - Gschwandt

By plane:
