Arrival by train: Take the Western Railway (from Salzburg, Passau or Vienna) to Wels (operated by ÖBB or Westbahn). From Wels via Lambach you will arrive at the Almtal villages Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting and Vorchdorf with the Vorchdorf railway (operated by Stern & Hafferl) and the Regiotram from Vorchdorf to Gmunden. With the Almtal-train from Wels you will arrive in Pettenbach, Scharnstein and Grünau im Almtal (operated by ÖBB). Arrival by car: Take the motorway A1 from Vienna via Linz, from Graz or Munich via Passau until the junction ‘Voralpenkreuz’ and continue on motorway A9 and take the exit Ried im Traunkreis. Continue on the road B120 direction Pettenbach, Scharnstein, St. Konrad and Grünau im Almtal. From all directions to Vorchdorf or Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting take the exit Vorchdorf on the A1 Motorway. Arriving from Munich via Salzburg also take the exit Vorchdorf to get to all villages in the Almtal valley.
