A pleasure like in imperial times! On the route of what used to be the smallest, but is still one of the steepest streetcars in the world, you travel through the beautiful Traunsee town of Gmunden.

A unique experience with the GM 5 Art Nouveau railcar (built in 1911) along the most beautiful places in Gmunden (route Gmunden station - villa quarter - Esplanade - Rathausplatz - Seebahnhof & return).

How to get to the Nostalgie Tram to Gmunden in the Traunsee-Almtal region:

We recommend traveling by public transport!

By train: via Attnang-Puchheim station to Gmunden station. Numerous connections from Attnang-Puchheim station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) or via Gmunden to the Salzkammergutbahn in the direction of Bad Ischl, Hallstatt and Bad Aussee.

From Vorchdorf with the Traunsee streetcar (line 161) from Stern & Hafferl to the stop Gmunden Bahnhof or Gmunden Seebahnhof.

by bus: OÖVV bus lines 507, 505 or 533 as well as city bus lines from Gmunden, bus stop Gmunden Bahnhof

by bike: The two stops Gmunden Bahnhof or Gmunden Seebahnhof are also very easy to reach by bike.
The Traunvierteltour leads directly past Gmunden Seebahnhof station, the R4 Traunradweg is also quickly accessible at the Traunbrücke bridge and R 2 Salzkammergutradweg leads about 500 meters from Gmunden station.

We recommend using the Engelhof P & R facility, continue with the Traunsee streetcar to the Gmunden Bahnhof or Gmunden Seebahnhof stop
