Magic lights on the Grünberg in Gmunden

Enjoy the contemplative Christmas season on the Grünberg with a view of Lake Traunsee and the Traunsee-Almtal region.

From 28 November 2024, the Salzkammergut treetop walk will be transformed into a radiant backdrop for unique winter moments. A very special winter highlight awaits visitors to the Salzkammergut treetop walk on the Grünberg in Gmunden. Hundreds of thousands of soft lights will illuminate the path and amaze guests of all ages. It is expected to start on 28 November 2024, and anyone who doesn't want to miss this experience should make a note of the date. Because the magic of lights on the Grünberg can only be experienced until 12 January 2025.

During this period, the Salzkammergut treetop walk is always open and illuminated from Thursday to Sunday from 1 pm to 8 pm, with the last admission at 7 pm. With the exception of the Christmas holidays and New Year's Eve, the Magic of Lights can be experienced every day during the Christmas holidays. The Grünberg mountain railway will take you up and down the mountain between 12:30 and 20:30 during the opening days of the Magic of Lights. The regular treetop walk admission prices apply to the Magic of Lights at no extra charge.
