The Flares carry on the rock ’n’ roll tradition: The band’s influences range from the early rock ’n’ roll of Elvis and the Beatles, through the classic rock of the ’70s, to the modern indie rock of the Strokes and the Arctic Monkeys. This creates a sound all their own, which the four band members bring to the stage with great passion. Drums, bass, two electric guitars, and vocals—that’s all it takes to play authentic rock.
