In 2024 there will be a free guided tour of the Stadl-Paura horse center every Saturday at 2 p.m. The new offer was created with the Traunsee-Almtal Tourist Association. The highlight is visiting the stables with horses of different breeds. Horses were not only indispensable in the past, but are also indispensable for our society today. There is a deep and emotional connection between human and horse. During the one-hour tour, you will also learn about the 24-hectare area with its unique historical buildings from the k. & k. time as well as the 200 year old history. Since the privatization at the turn of the millennium, the horse center Stadl-Paura has developed into a modern event location as well as a teaching and training company. Not only guided tours, but also the more than 100 events per year on the weekends are free for visitors.

Furthermore, a cozy conclusion with our gastronomic offer in the Karl-Bauer-Halle and in the "7er Stall" inn is highly recommended.

The Austrian Horse Center Stadl-Paura sees itself as a unique competence center for horse breeding, equestrian sports and the training of horses and people. The horse center fulfills indispensable social services in the following areas:
Breed. Cross-state selection in breeding at foal championships, studbook registrations, stallion approvals as well as material and performance tests ensure the future and diversity of healthy and high-performing horses in Austria.
Sports. International tournaments, first-class courses and seminars for all equestrian disciplines are held at the Stadl-Paura Horse Center. It is therefore the only facility in Austria that allows this range in equestrian sport. This offers high-quality education and training opportunities, especially for young people. Most of the disciplines can be practiced all year round.
Education. Visitors to the horse center Stadl-Paura are taught about the great importance of horses in our society and the diverse areas of use in leisure time, therapy etc. The professional training of horses goes hand in hand with further training for riders and drivers. culture and tourism. For almost 200 years, the horse center Stadl-Paura has been an essential cultural vehicle in Austria. During this time, the horse changed from a war and work animal to a leisure and sports partner. This development can be impressively experienced here – in the world of horses.

Boarding at the Gmunden A/Bahn station stop at 10:33 a.m
Arrival in Stadl-Paura at the Stadl-Paura Gmundner Straße stop at 11:10 a.m. After a short walk you reach the horse center and can enjoy lunch in the Gasthaus 7er Stall, walk along the Traun to the Trinity Church or to the impressive Lambach Abbey before the tour of the horse center starts at 2:00 p.m.

Arrival from Vorchdorf:
with the Vorchdorfer Bahn 160:
Boarding at Vorchdorf train station at 11:54 a.m
Arrival at the train station in Lambach at 12:19 p.m., then approx. 20 minutes walk to the horse center or continue by bus 505 to the Stadl-Paura Gmundner Straße stop with arrival at 12:50 p.m.
