In 2026, there will also be a free guided tour of the Stadl-Paura Horse Center every Saturday at 2 pm. The offer was created with the Traunsee-Almtal tourism association. The highlight is a tour of the stables with horses of different breeds. Horses were not only indispensable for our society in the past, but also today. There is a deep and emotional connection between humans and horses.
During the one-hour guided tour, you will also get to know the 24-hectare site with its unique historical buildings from the imperial and royal era as well as its 200-year-old history. Since its privatization at the turn of the millennium, the Stadl-Paura Equestrian Centre has developed into a modern event location as well as a teaching and training facility.

Not only guided tours, but also more than 100 events per year are free of charge for visitors at the weekends. Furthermore, we highly recommend a cozy finale with our gastronomic offer in the Karl-Bauer-Halle as well as in the inn "7er Stall".

The Austrian Horse Center Stadl-Paura sees itself as a unique competence center for horse breeding, equestrian sports and the training of horses and humans. The Horse Center provides indispensable social services in the following areas:
Breeding. Cross-provincial selection in breeding at foal championships, studbook recordings, stallion licensing and material and performance tests ensure the future and diversity of healthy and capable horses in Austria.
Sport. The Stadl-Paura Horse Center hosts international tournaments, first-class courses and seminars for all equestrian disciplines. It is therefore the only facility in Austria that makes this range of equestrian sports possible. This provides high-quality training and training opportunities, especially for young people. The majority of disciplines can be practiced all year round.
Education. Visitors to the Stadl-Paura equestrian center are taught about the high value of horses in our society and the many different areas of use in leisure, therapy, etc. The professional training of horses goes hand in hand with further training for riders and drivers.
Culture and tourism. For almost 200 years, the Stadl-Paura Equestrian Center has been an important cultural institution in Austria. During this time, the horse has changed from a war and work animal to a leisure and sports partner. This development can be impressively experienced here - in the world of horses.

By bus 505:
Get off at the bus stop Gmunden Abzw. Bahnhof at 10:33 a.m.
Arrival in Stadl-Paura at the bus stop Stadl-Paura Gmundner Straße at 11:10 am. After a short walk you will reach the horse center and can enjoy lunch at Gasthaus 7er Stall, walk along the Traun to the Trinity Church or to the impressive Lambach Abbey before the guided tour of the horse center starts at 14:00.

Arrival from Vorchdorf:
With the Vorchdorf train 160:
Arrival at Vorchdorf station at 11:54 am
Arrival at the train station in Lambach at 12:19 pm, then approx. 20 minutes walk to the horse center or continue by bus 505 to the bus stop Stadl-Paura Gmundner Straße with arrival at 12:50 pm.

Meeting point: The meeting point is at Gasthaus 7er Stall at the Stadl-Paura Horse Center.
