On Monday, October 5, 2026, we’ll be getting back to our traditional roots: Starting at 4:00 p.m., we’ll be serving our hearty “Lichtbrat’l”—available for takeout, of course!

In the past, work under artificial lighting resumed for the first time on the first Monday after Michaelmas. Since the masters had saved on lighting costs over the summer, they treated their employees to a “Bratl” as a thank-you. That’s how “Lichtbratl Monday” came to be.
