HIKING DAY ON THE SALT TRAIL
TRAUNKIRCHEN on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026, at 10 a.m.

On National Day, the picturesque town of Traunkirchen cordially invites you to a hiking day through the town along the Salt Trail.

The hike begins at 10 a.m. at Cafe Johannsberg, Ortsplatz 13.
The hike will take about 2 hours; the following stops will
be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.:
+ ArcheKult Museum
+ Handarbeits Museum (reduced admission)
+ Monastery Shop
+ Sculptural installation “ECCE” in the historic monastery courtyard (The renowned artist and
university professor Josef Linschinger will be present in person)
+ Guided tours of the oldest Calvary Church in the Salzkammergut
+ Erlas Gallery (gallery for contemporary art)

For children, there’s the Traunkirchen Pirate Treasure Hunt.
The starter pack is available at Cafe Johannsberg. A smartphone or tablet with
