An artistic exploration by Ferdinand Reisenbichler marking the 400th anniversary of the Peasants’ Wars of 1626 as part of communale oö 2026, finalized at the Land OÖ guest studio in Český Krumlov in July 2026.
Taking as its starting point the Battle of Pinsdorf on November 15, 1626, in which approximately 2,000 peasants lost their lives, the exhibition presents conventional and unconventional RELOADED PICS * on this theme.
The central piece of the exhibition will be the Peasants’ War Guernica (210 x 400 cm, 15-part), along with works by Art Brut artists Julia Rakuschan and Martin Filsegger.

* Reloaded Pics are “transcriptions” of works by Goja, Picasso, Flora, Egger Lienz, etc.
