Our family business is located in the center of Grünau im Almtal. Around 70 Scottish highland cattle graze on our pastures in a species-appropriate manner. The calves live with the suckler cow for up to a year. Since the cows are not milked, healthy breast milk is reserved for the calves. Breeding bull. "Mackenzie", known as "Mecki", brings us numerous offspring. The robust, frugal animals feed exclusively on hay, silage and grass. The highland cattle are known for their excellent, fine-grained meat with a low fat and cholesterol content. The slaughter is done by our regional butcher. After a short ripening period, the meat is cut up professionally, the meat parts are labeled with their names and packed airtight. The marketing takes place on pre-order from the farm, after a further maturity.
