Our guesthouse was completely refurbished. Our new, quiet and stylish rooms, appartments and holiday homes, amidst Grünau´s mountain scenery, are the ideal environment in which to escape from the rush of everyday life! All rooms have a private batchroom/shower, toilet, a cosy sitting area, cable TV, minibar and some also have a balcony with a panoramic view of the mountains.
At only 2 km from the village of Grünau, our house is snuggled away into a natural spot by a crystal-clear mountain stream near Almsee lake.
Wanderruh guesthouse is an interesting location for a relaxing vacation at any season. We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Accessibility / arrivalHow to get to the Pension Wanderruh in Grünau im Almtal:
We recommend that you travel by public transport! We would be happy to pick you up from Grünau train station and also offer a return transfer!
by train: from Wels train station with the Almtalbahn (line 153) to Grünau im Almtal; Numerous connections from Wels train station to the main trains on the Westbahn route (line 101)
by bus: OÖVV bus line 533 Almsee - Grünau - Gmunden
With the Traunstein Taxi Route 60 from Grünau train station to the stop at Wanderruh (short distance from the train station), call the taxi center at least 1 hour in advance on 050-422 1691 or order on the otaxi app.
by bike: cycle path R11 Almtalradweg from Wels in the Almtal to Grünau im Almtal, then in the direction of Almsee, at the junction Wanderruh over the bridge, then left about 250 meters.
By foot: From the village center or train station in Grünau im Almtal you can comfortably hike along the Almuferweg "Genuss am Almfluss" in the direction of Cumberland Wildlife Park or Almsee, the Pension Wanderruh is right on the hiking trail!
by car:
Motorway A1 (Westautobahn): Vienna - Voralpenkreuz-A9 - exit Ried/Tr. - Voitsdorf - Pettenbach - Scharnstein - Grünau
Motorway A1 (Westautobahn): Munich - Salzburg - Regau - Gmunden - Scharnstein - Grünau
Motorway A8 (Innkreisautobahn): Passau - Wels - Voralpenkreuz junction, Motorway A9 Pyhrnautobahn - exit Ried/Tr. - Voitsdorf - Pettenbach - Scharnstein - Grünau From the center of Grünau, follow the L529 country road in the direction of Almsee, turn left after approx. 2 km, cross the bridge and turn left again, after approx. 250 you have reached Pension Wanderruh.
