Bathing with a dog

ALMSEE & ÖDSEEN
This natural lake in the Almtal valley only has a maximum temperature of 20 degrees, but it is beautiful. A tour around the lake, where your dog can cool off again and again, is particularly recommended. We would like to point out that you are here in nature reserves.
TRAUNSEE
Places with a ban on dogs are specially marked, otherwise dogs are allowed everywhere. Very nice bays on the east bank. Dogs can also go into the water in the city of Gmunden.
RIVERS
There are many bathing spots for dog holidaymakers on the Traun.
Vacation or hiking with a dog is very popular with us, as our varied hiking offer along the alpine pasture and various smaller streams (Vorderer Rinnbach, Hinterer Rinnbach, Hetzautal, ...) are ideal for hiking and refreshing with a dog.
We kindly ask you to leave your four-legged friend on a leash, as a large number of birds have their breeding grounds in the lakeside riparian zones.
By the way: According to Austrian law, dogs are always allowed to bathe in flowing waters!
