For us, mobility means combining all these things and making your journey as pleasant and easy as possible. We recommend that you travel by public transport and also take a holiday from your own car. Holiday without a car? No problem! Here you will find all the means of transport you might need on site, from taxi to bus, everything is available.
Do you know the Traunstein Taxi yet? No?! Then get to know the perfect supplement to public transport. How can I use it? Simply order via the oTaxi app and travel relaxed.
Thanks to an initiative by the Traunsee-Almtal Tourism Association, the excellent public transport services in the Traunsee-Almtal region have been extended to the Salzkammergut. Around the Traunstein, the Salzkammergut Shuttle Service operates on 15 routes daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. to the most beautiful destinations, enabling residents and guests to travel elegantly by public transport even without their own car.
Since 2024, this micro public transport service has been operating as the Salzkammergut Shuttle Service!

Since 2020, you can use the new Freizeit-Ticket OÖ (Upper Austria Leisure Ticket) alone, as a couple or with the whole family to travel by bus and train throughout the entire province for one day!
You can buy the ticket via the OÖVV app, directly in the regional buses, at the ticket machines of LINZ AG LINIEN and via all sales channels of ÖBB.

Holidaying by bike? No problem! Many marked cycle paths run through our region, making travelling within easy and pleasant.
You don't have a bike with you, but would like to cycle along the lake? That's no problem either. You will also find various places where you can rent eBikes, mountain bikes or classic bikes.
