Private brewery since 1681, independent and autonomous for 8 family generations. Preserving something like this requires openness to new things. As the beer of the Salzkammergut, we defy the standard beers with our regional character.

The lakes in our surroundings are of drinking water quality. The mountains are imposing, the air is clear and pure. This freshness of the region is also in our nature. But freshness is also an attitude and a value that we hold high in Eggenberg:

Our brewery
Eggenberg is the eighth generation to produce the Salzkammergut beer, with a great deal of craftsmanship. This independence allows us to work the way we want and enables us to brew distinctive beers with a strong character.
We want to surprise and inspire, and above all, we want to continue doing what we are good at for the next few centuries: Brewing beer.

800 m2 for your event
From the old brewhouse to several large side vaults, some of which were used as beer storage cellars or malt germination boxes, the west wing of Schloss Eggenberg now shines in new splendour after extensive revitalisation.

Looking for beery accommodation? No problem! The Stöhr brothers both run a beery accommodation. Once in Pettenbach, the Bierhotel Ranklleiten, and once directly on the brewery premises, the former brewmaster's house.
