The "Schmecktakuläres Almtal" association is a voluntary cooperation between Almtal innkeepers, Almtal farmers and regional food processors who are committed to quality and regionalism.
The products used by the innkeepers of the "Schmecktakulares Almtal" association are specially marked and made visible on their menus.
Only members of the "Schmecktakulare Almtal" may label their food and their dishes (or their products) with this logo.
Together, these hosts of the "Tasty Alta Valley" organize specialty weeks several times a year with a focus on "regional products".
Traditional and innovative preparation methods are to be demonstrated and perfected in special cooking workshops led by excellent Austrian cooks. Particular attention is paid to rediscovering and offering long-forgotten specialties of regional and Austrian cuisine.
The preservation of old or special pet breeds, vegetables or other rural products have a high priority in the product selection.
All hosts of the "Schmecktakulare Almtal" are members of the AMA gastro system.

Products in gastronomy is an important step in the communication between guest and host. Provided with the AMA gastronomy seal, Austria's innkeepers guarantee to serve dishes made from high-quality local raw materials.
